We always had Christmas Dinner on Christmas Eve and a big special breakfast on Christmas morning. We also picked a name at Thanksgiving - and only gave one present to one sibling - there were six children in our family - we tried to limit the spending and volume of presents. The theory behind this was that it gave more room for Santa to leave presents. (there were usually 5-15 grandkids staying at the house).
