Paris Hotels

We may be going Paris to this January and my head is spinning trying to find the perfect hotel room. I've been online all afternoon and evening searching the web. I can be exceeding picky when it comes to hotels and travel accommodations. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

All best,
Ronda

  10. Hotel Montalembert! Perfectly located in St. Germain and right next the amazing L'Atelier de Joel Robuchon.

  11. If you are up for an apartment, try Paris Perfect or Chez Vous. I like to go to their web sites and look at their apartments just for the decor!

  12. Are apartments ok? I just checked out of this one today:

And it's only 114 euros/night and seriously amazing location-wise. You step out the door and see Notre Dame across the river at the end of the street. It's right in the heart of the 5eme, so tons of restaurants and bars, but it's a small side street. If your budget is a little bigger the same company, Paris Address, has loads of fancier places. This one was great (and quite good sized for the price) but it's definitely not the hotel experience--lots of keys to manage, and so forth. Still, I prefer the freedom of an apartment with more space!

I don't know your budget but we ate dinner at Le Comptoir de Yves Camdeborde (the brasserie menu; the prix fixe nights are booked through March). Fabulous meal and it's attached to a boutique hotel that looked so cool, Hotel Le Relais Saint Germain.

(I didn't go inside the hotel though!)

  16. The Hotel Britannique

We stay there every time we are in Paris (actually just got back on Tuesday). It's in the 1st, a block off the Seine, pretty much in the middle of everything.
We always ask for a room on the 5th floor (#52 is the best)...each room on the street side has a balcony (with table and chairs) and you can see the top of the Eiffel Tower from the room. The staff is wonderful...check out the reviews and pictures on Trip Advisor.

There is a great little boulangerie around the corner where you can get a morning coffee and croissant...bring it back to the room and eat outside (bundled up in warm clothes it's not that bad and the view of the tower over the rooftops of Paris is inspiring on a sunny day).

    enjoy!
