Registry Bliss

If I had the chance to do it all again, after twenty years together, I would still marry my best friend. The only thing I might do differently, given the chance, is the bridal registry. Perfect Bound recently put this enjoyable task to me and it was fun to daydream. If money were no object what five things would choose? Click here to see my choices.

  2. I've always taken a peculiar pleasure in being the anti bride; indeed, so innocent was I to tradition that when my future mother-in-law asked me whether I was registered, I was delighted: she was taking interest in the graduate school classes I'd signed up--or registered--for during the spring semester.

But--given the chance to fly to Paris and choose a few items, I just might change my mind.

  3. A chance to do it again, sounds like a good all the best BOOK to me. A bit of guidance and steering the just engaged couple in a clear direction would surely be a wise investment.
    Now, register that!

  4. As lovely as all your choices are...if I was asked, I would say 'LAND'. Just give me little chunks of land all over the world. And then I'd build different houses and fill them all with wonderful things.

  5. I'm with Liberty on this one! Land! Although those tumblers you picked I am loving. Cashmere blankets. Sterling silver cheese knives: one doesn't think about it until one really needs to serve a beautiful cheese and fruit platter and then? Sterling silver punch bowl. Again, very useful: fill with ice and put white wine bottles in it. Use it as a flower container centerpeice, fill with shells...there are a myriad of uses besides punch! I am lucky to have aquired these now, but wish I had had them as a new bride!

    Love your choices!
