None other than Mrs.Blandings posted about this several weeks ago, a February post. Fabric is Clarence House, Nouveau Bizarre. She points out that this pillow was made using a header sample as the gromet is still intact. (you know the header is supposed to be returned) Take a look at Mrs. Blandings clever post.
Just so happens that I have a memo of the chair fabric. It is Scalamandre "China Rose". The no. for the pattern in lime green and pink is 164929-004. Gorgeous! Hope this helps. Marion in Kentucky
Actually there was an excellent article, published in the September 2005 edition of Traditional Home, which featured the Donna May, textile designer for Scalamandre. The article pictures "China Rose" in green and pink and "Wine Growers". Marion from Kentucky
Better yet - could someone please tell me who did the decorating??? The article says that Tinsley is from Charlottesville, VA and that he mother is a decorator. The press is listed on the Charlotte Moss website - does Tinsley Mortimer's mother work for Charlotte Moss??? Is Charlotte Tinsley's mother???

ReplyDeleteThank Patricia! I missed that blog post. I love the pillow, but I'm dying to know the floral fabric on the chair!
ReplyDeleteMore coffee, oh, silly me, in my haste, I thought it was the pillow fabric you were after, the chair fabric certainly looks like Scalamandre to me?
ReplyDeleteIt's afternoon and I am still drinking coffee! ;-)

ReplyDeleteNo CM isn't her mother. Her mother-in-law (I believe) is Senga Mortimer, who is an editor at House Beautiful.
ReplyDeleteI saw that T.H. article and saved it because I loved the Wine Growers fabric - a pink toile. love Scalamandre fabric.
