  6. They are all beautiful in their own way, Ronda. I'm sure it must have been difficult to choose. Looking forward to seeing who the judges choose as the winners.

  7. Voted for room # 2 . I love nature and this room feels like an old fashion sleeping porch. My favorite treat while travelling in warm climates or in summers at home is sleeping under the stars. this room captivates the same sensations.

  8. What a bounty of beautiful rooms!
How many entries for the contest came in?

  9. Passal's and Sara Story's are two of my favorites. So many great submissions!

  10. Wow- more eye candy in this post than in the last three shelter mags I read COMBINED. Great idea, great results. So many different styles, so much talent! Can't decide between Anna Beth Chao and Scot Meacham Wood.

  13. Beautiful selections. They are all winners! I can't wait to see which one takes 1st prize.

  14. Hello Ronda - Robert Passal's room gets my vote ! I also like the Clemente - style (?) portrait in the first room ...

  15. How you were able to narrow the choices to 12 is beyond me. I enjoyed so many of them. Thanks for posting them.
Well, I look at your 12 several times and thought that #7 and # 12 were my favorite... and yet... really, they are are so pretty. Good luck to the judges.

    Thanks for the great treat.

  16. Shoot - one of my favorites didn't make it - Katie Scaasi!!! Are you going to show the ones who didn't make - the whole room? I am dying to see the rest of her room and the rest of the others too! That might be a good idea to post (not that you need my input!) And I was just wondering, have we seen all of them? Between the ones your posted and the ones that are finalists or are there more? I am just curious. How they are going to pick one is amazing. Good luck to the judges, it's going to be SOOOOOOOO hard!!!!!!!!

  18. Hey Joni,
Once the contest is over I will run more photos (the whole room). No, there are many more that have not been published. The feedback has been amazing, so I think a future blog post is in order. Yes, Katie's room is a visual treat! I will post it all very soon.

  22. *** Hi, Ronda! ***

This is SOOO F*U*N to SEE~ JUST SHEER DELIGHT! SO TIMELY too! Am right in the middle (actually, one more day til completion~ "Hallelujah"!) of having the entire fireplace wall in our MBR completed (in beautifully, rather "ruggedly sophisticated", dry-stacked Yavapai Ledge Stone). The 1 1/2 tiered mantel, made ny a master craftsman out of a glorious, old, walnut table I KNEW had "potential", is now installed, TV "box" is also in & softer ceiling lights to gently shine down on the stone, & all electrical outlets, are put TOGETHER (WHY did our builder/architect NOT do that in the FIRST place, pray tell?!?!) & in the CORRECT "wood" color. Hardwood floors get installed next Saturday, thennnn, after living w/ allll the extraneous DUST, it gets CLEANED and the "REAL FUN" BEGINS!!!

SOOOOO, while that last bedroom "SPOKE" to me the most, I LOVED garnering ideas from EACH & EVERY OTHER, wonderful space you shared (I still have some decisions to finalize in the decorating~~~ so it's just WONDERFUL & SO FUN to look at EVEN MORE "OPTIONS" out there)!!!

THANKS A "GAZILLION"! (Am DEFINITELY going back to look for MORE ideas from others! LOTS of talented gals/guys, aren't there? HOW can one ever decide a real "winner"... either way, looking forward to following!)~

This was/is a "Delicious doughnut to go w/ my mornin cuppa here!"!!!

    MANY THANKS AGAIN & best,
    Linda in AZ *

  23. * OOH! Just saw your comment, above, to Joni~~~ And THIS is going to be REEEEEALLY GREAT!!! Can't wait! Linda *

  24. I am so glad I am not judging this contest. It's impossible to choose a favorite! They are all so beautiful and special in their own way. If I had to choose, it would be between #2,6,10, and 11.

    ReplyDelete
  25. All beautiful bedrooms, but my favorite is Brooke Giannetti's bedroom. It's so beautiful and relaxing. I want to do my bedroom in the same color palette! Good luck judges! What a fun contest Ronda!

    ReplyDelete
  26. * P.S.P.S.~~~ My vote goes for the GIANETTI beddroom... thanks! Linda *

    ReplyDelete
  27. I looked again and again. Though I said #7 and #12 floated my boat, in the end #2 got my vote.

I must say the yellow room, #7 was a refreshing color palette compared to the other options.

    ReplyDelete
  28. Such a hard decision... Although they are all AMAZING, my favorite is Darren Ransdell's room...

It's very masculine, but still very refined and inviting!

    ReplyDelete
  29. Such a great contest! SO MANY great rooms! Ther is so much talent out there. Thanks for all the fun Ronda! :)

    ReplyDelete
  30. These are all so great! I'm happy to see that two out of my top three picks have made it to the finals! Passal and Ransdell.

    ReplyDelete
  31. Ronda,

I am SO pleased and delighted to be included with such amazing bedrooms. - And also very proud to see the large number of entries from San Francisco.

    Scot Meacham Wood

    ReplyDelete
  32. Scot it's crazy the number of finalist from San Fran...think I know where I need to host my next event!!

    ReplyDelete
  33. Keep the great comments coming...
    xoxo

    ReplyDelete
  34. I would just like to echo Scot -- thank you so much, Ronda, and it's awesome (and slightly intimidating) to be in such good company. All the entries are fantastic!

    ReplyDelete
  35. All the rooms are so beautiful, but the bedrooms created by Christopher Prain, Scot Meacham Wood, and Sara Story are my favorite. I like them all for different stages of my life. Sara Story for my girlhood in all its innocence and freshness, Christopher Prain for mommyhood (and lots of romance with hubby), and Scot Meacham Wood for my retirement when all I want to do is be surrounded by books, art and collections from my travels.

    ReplyDelete
  36. I really like #12. It's coziness appeals to me. All are absolutely beautiful!

And I want to see all the entries--all the photos each entrant sent.

Thanks for doing this. It has been so much fun.

    ReplyDelete
  37. #1. That red/pink chair is to die for

    ReplyDelete
  38. Just cast my vote for Steve and Brooke Giannetti, love their designs and that room is by far my fav!!
    Fun contest Ronda!

    ReplyDelete
  39. Oh my God! These bedrooms are absolutely awe inspiring. Fabulous choices! Congratulations to all the finalists!

    ReplyDelete
  40. Room #4 is my favorite with #12 my second favorite. Both of these look like real rooms and not furniture show rooms...too empty and sterile. Not alot of "design" from "designers" here...so was expecting to be "wowed" more. Guess I'm the odd man out here.

    ReplyDelete
  41. wow, they are all great and most the time I am a less is more gal, but Scot's room has my vote. #4, it spoke to me...

    ReplyDelete
  42. No. 6! Fresh and crisp and relaxing. Will always look great - even with dust! (:

    ReplyDelete
  43. Wowzer!!!! These bedrooms are amazing! What a tough decision. I am swooning over room 2 but all of them are fab!

    ReplyDelete
  44. All of them are nice, but number 12 really speaks to me. It evokes a sense of home, togetherness, family, comfort, It is a timeless room to take you through guests, friends, family and gives you a sense of peace and happiness.

Number 12 has my absolute vote!!

    ReplyDelete
  45. Chloe Warner’s colorway is hands-down the most sophisticated. But, all the rooms are just lovely.

    ReplyDelete
  46. Congrats to the finalists! They are all really gorgeous. It is tough to cast just one vote.

    xo,

  47. So many great rooms; so hard to decide!

    ReplyDelete
  48. my vote is number 6!
    love love love that room!

    ReplyDelete
  49. They are all so beautiful and so diverse in style. It's always amazing to me how the same type of room can be interpreted so individually. My congratulations to all of the finalists but I must say I am partial to Brooke Gianetti's room.

    ReplyDelete
  50. The pale, blue Giannetti bedroom- so soothing!

    ReplyDelete
  51. My vote goes with the Giannetti bedroom, I find the others have a bit too much edge.

    ReplyDelete
  52. Wow, Chloe Warner's bedroom is gorgeous! Soothing and elegant. Simple and rich. Hands down my top choice.

    ReplyDelete
  53. so many beautiful bedrooms & styles & what a tough choice!!! if I had to pick one, I'd say the Giannetti bedroom- so light & airy & relaxing...

    ReplyDelete
  54. What fun! All of them are so different and speak to me in so many different ways. It was a hard one. Enjoyed this post! Love your blog!!

  55. The Giannetti bedroom could have been designed just for me - I love it.

    ReplyDelete
  56. Loving room #2, I love that she did it all herself!

    ReplyDelete
  57. I pick Brooke & Steve's...what a gorgeous room, I could see me taking a snooze there !!!

Good luck to everyone, they are all beautiful !!!

  58. It's so hard to choose, but I like #2, #6 and #12....

    ReplyDelete
  59. voted for BR #6! I like the coziness of BR #12 too.

    ReplyDelete
  60. The best post. Loved all in different ways. While I am a great fan of Brooke's, the room does not seem complete to me. I must admit i love Paintings and accessories so much My heart sold out to the masculine room, Scot Meacham Wood because of the warmth and patina. I see it in Highlands, NC, in the hunt country, and a great French country house. Congratulations to the winner!!!

    ReplyDelete
  61. Love the Giannetti's room too! #6

    ReplyDelete
  62. Tough call, a lot of them are good. It's between #2 and #6 for me. I chose #2, if they take the antlers down! which I don't think fit in well. Everything else is great and having all that light is another plus.

    ReplyDelete
  63. What a facinating blog!! I afraid I am too busy looking around your blog to vote. Looks like I have just lost another couple of hours from my day as I loose myself here in your blog.

Looks like we will be having toast for dinner tonight.

  64. These are all beautiful creative wonderful rooms for the beauty they possess is awesome to behold. Thank you for sharing and posting such a fun contest. Good luck to the contestants. These are spaces where restful nights and happy dreams could certainly happen (especially in #6 :) ). xo

  65. Calm, clean and serene. I vote for Brooke's room #6. Love it!
    Michelle May

    ReplyDelete
  66. I love #1! That hot-pink chair had me at Hello!

    ReplyDelete
  67. Lots of lovely rooms to choose from, but #2 (Chao) really resonates with me. It doesn't look 'decorated', you know? That kind of effortless design is priceless. Anyone can throw a lot of money at a room and have it turn out well, but that kind of editorial eye is rare, indeed.

    ReplyDelete
  68. Oh my! This is a difficult task; I don't envy the judges. These rooms are gorgeous. I will vote, but I'm not even sure at this moment for which I will. Lovely. lovely. Thanks for sharing -- and good luck to all the homeowners! cheers-s

    ReplyDelete

    ReplyDelete
  72. All so beautiful - but if I had to pick one to go to bed in tonight - The Giannettis! - ok.. two.. Christopher Prain's - i would feel like a queen in that bed...;-)
