One of the Christmas spreads that I drool over each year is the Charleston home of architects Mark and Melissa Maresca. It was featured several years ago in Southern Accents and it still boasts beautiful, timeless interiors. Mark and Melissa stand in front of their parterre garden filled with potted poinsettias.
Simple greenery and early 19th-century carved urns grace the dinning room of the 1790 single house on South Battery.
A crackling fire, lush swags of magnolia leaves, a dark rich ceiling and modern lighting add warmth to the kitchen.
Beautiful charcoal-brown walls are the perfect backdrop for a 19th-century French mirror decorated in simple greenery.

I love the dining room bust! What a lovely blog! So glad I came across it!
Gina :)
Oh, there truly is nothing like a little "Southern Comfort" - looks like a well loved home. I adore the dark walls - they look like a deep rich forest green.
What a treasure of a home! I like how they used a beautiful textile on the table but not under plates where it would be likely to get food on it. I once lived in an old house with a fireplace in the kitchen - quite magical.
Ronda, The mantle decor is gorgeous, as is all of it, timeless!
What a beautiful Home! Love your blog by the way! Daisy~
Hi Ronda: Can you tell me in what issue this was featured? Thank you
Wow. Their house really is gorgeous.
I remember seeing this home - and loving it!
