Gone to the dogs about sums up the start of my day. I took our wee Izzie out for a walk this morning and managed to lock myself out for 2 hours. Thank goodness for good neighbors who offered us shelter and a cup of coffee until my husband could let me back into our flat. Looking at these photos brought a smile back to my face. Of course dinner with friends at Mother India made me happy too!

Oh, how sweet, to know that you somehow managed to find 2 extra hours in your day with your faithful companion. Things like this always remind me to slow down.

It must be the week for it Ronda! I was 'auto-locked' out of my car on Thursday afternoon while meeting with a garden-design client. Talk about humiliating! Thankfully, the lady of the house graciously took it all in stride, served me a cool drink and helped me locate the nearest garage for help. How fortunate we both are to have encountered such kind assistance. I hope the rest of your day wags the tail! And now, for the clever 'hide-a-key'?
Smiles to you,
Michaela
these are magnificent photos! they've put some cheer into my monday. would love to know the breed of dog in the 4th pic? i'm planning on getting a puppy soon...
:)
Oh yes. I love these photos.
Sorry about locking yourself out.
Most frustrating.
Getting locked out is a thing that happens to us all at one time or another. Recently I got locked out of the house while I was skinny dipping in our pool late one night. My stepson had inadvertently locked the patio door not realizing I was out there. Fortunately we have an intercom system and was only outside wrapped in a towel for a few minutes.
I adore these photos - perfect. Thank goodness for the kindness of neighbors. Nothing is worse than being locked out. Did they serve instant coffee? I'm always amazed how our family in Scotland still drinks it, whether young or old!!
xx
Ha! Ha! I even drink instant over here! It really is waaaaay better than instant in the States.
I love this post. Our pets, dogs in particular, are such a blessing--Jones (huge blue poodles) lightens my way every day with nary a complaint, he is currently in training as Nol ! sales associate and loves the job. Have a great week.
I have done the same thing...great pix of our faithful companions! Love the dresses in the first photo!
Blessings...
Stunning top image! Sorry your day did not go as planned. Glad you had your dog and neighbor were with you to pass the time.
Those days are the worst. on the upside, these photos are beautiful and he is pretty easy on the eyes too - handsome devil !
i love the gown that matches with the dog.. that the girl is wearing gorgwous.. and the pulsh sofa on which a dog is reclining.. gorgeous.. and the huge pot with crimson flowers in it.. is really eye catching.. after the sweet duck and dog photo.. :)
Ugh. I'm sorry to hear it. But at least you had company. My 3 year old recently locked me out... I'm a fanatic about having my keys on me at all times now.
What joyful pics! XXOO
