Over the weekend my husband and I had the privilege of spending time with Toma Haines and her husband (a.k.a The Antiques Diva and The Wine Guy) in their beautiful Berlin apartment. On Saturday Toma sat down with me to record the second All the Best Podcast. She shares her fascinating stories of moving from rural Oklahoma to Europe and staring a business abroad.

The photos are amazing, the meal exquisite, and podcast so enlightning! From teeny town ranch in Oklahoma to Paris, Amsterdam, Berlin! Just goes to show we should always never underestimate the dreams of chidren! (Or else!)
I'm not sure if my comment went through! I am repeating thoughts I wrote as best as I can recall. It is a wonderful podcast, wonderful photos on your blog, and what an exquisite meal! From a ranch near teeny town in Oklahoma to Paris, Amsterdam, Berlin! Never underestimate the dreams of little children! ("Or else!") Toma is living her dreams, I will think about this whenever I think of Berlin.
I so agree! NEVER underestimate the power of dreams!
Just listened to the amazing podcast. What a great interview! Toma came off, not as a DIVA, but as an amazing inspiration to all women....follow your dreams and hang on for the ride. Have a great week.
Ahh... reading these first few comments from Mary & Tina Steel Lindsey made me teary eyed! They were so sweet!!! And I love what married said about "hanging on the for the ride"... Ronda & I didn't go into this conversation, but if I would have been asked what I miss most about la vie en Oklahoma is riding my horse and feeling the wind in my hair!
Thanks again Ronda for such a wonderful opportunity to be on your blog! You inspire me.
Toma

Ronda,
Blogging has come forward in so many ways and adding the podcast is such a wonderful life force addition.
Great interview and looking forward to more. Every aspect of art needs a human touch even if it's a voice at the moment.

Looks and sounds like an enchanting time you all had together!
I had the pleasure of meeting Toma in May in Paris. What a sweetheart, she is so genuine and full of passion. A true inspiration. We had a ball running all over town. This was a fabulous interview, and I'm looking forward to more in your series, great work!
Beautiful images and wonderful tale a life being well spent. I can relate, as my dreams as a young french girl was to explore the world and have my own business...in America. i took a deep breath and did it, I love working in new York, travel to far unexplored places... Your blog is an inspiration and confirmation that we should all try at achieving our dreams.
Ronda-
Wonderful - I love that dreams and detours can inspire each of us to follow our passion and then to share that with an audience of those that might hesitate this, it is like a little pod-cast push.
My husband & I spent virtually every weekend shopping for Antiques and then began our family, we look back with great pride as our collection began.
Love that phrase, "precious and pop" can reign happily side by side. Love to go on an Antique's diva tour...
sketching along the way!
