Hearst Magazines Names Three Editors-In-Chief: Stephen Drucker to Lead Town&Country; Newell Turner Becomes Editor-In-Chief of House Beautiful; Dara Caponigro Named Editor-In-Chief of VERANDA - you can read it here.
I was just reading the latest issue of Town & Country last night and telling my husband I didn't think it was a very good magazine. With the changes you've mentioned I am sure it will be great now.
Wow, must be just me and my aversion to change, but ever since my beloved Southern Living became just another "global magazine", I've been suspicious of change. A "shake-up" in publishing sounds like a code word for "cancellation" or "dumbing down".

This makes me nervous: Stephen Drucker has done such a fantastic job with HB. I hope it continues to flourish!
Newell Turner is great! I think he will build on what Stephen has started. I think it will be great.
I'm very excited to see how these big changes affect our beloved (and sparse!) shelter magazines. Two fingers crossed it's for the better!!

Well, I am happy I just renewed my Town and Country subscription. It will be a treat to see what Stephen Drucker does there.
WOW! This is HUGE, should be exciting.
Thanks for letting us know of these changes. I'm sure they will be positive. I have never read Town and Country, but maybe I will now.
Looks like the stars are re-aligning!
I think this is all very exciting. Thanks for the big news.

Very interesting! I can only imagine good for all 3 magazines- xo
My friend MaryJane is a style editor at Veranda. She was mentioning a change in the works just this morning. Little did I know she meant right now...
Fingers and toes all crossed for our remaining shelter magazines.
I just cancelled my Veranda subscription after years and years... I couldn't take the lifelessness anymore. I will re-up. Exciting.
Wow! Talk about a lot to talk about!!!
I am going to miss Mr. Drucker at the helm of my favorite, but believe too all is in very good hands.
As for the others, like to see some changes to perhaps more real life interiors....as they go forward.
Wishing them all tons of success as I can not image life without shelter magazines!!!
