Technical Difficulties

I am so sorry for the long delay. I have been traveling for two weeks and my MacBook Air died. I was told it would take 10 days to repair. Not good news when you are away from home and on the go. Luckily my sweet friend Christina loaned me her spare laptop to use while I am in the States.

I am heading to Chicago today and will post again tomorrow. I have so many things to share with all of you. Thank you for your patience.

Best,
Ronda

Have a great trip! After a hellish summer that zapped everybody's energy, Chicago's up & moving at full speed. The new Modern Wing & the Thorne Rooms at the Art Institute are great, but they won't be going anywhere, so if you're schedule's tight, save them till next time & make sure to see the knockout Louis Sullivan exhibit at the Chicago Cultural Center. It only runs till next month, and it's an anomaly in the art world, a huge show--created by the owner of the pieces & artist Chris Ware--that actually encourages you to touch the artifacts.

And for lunch, hit the Caffe Baci straight across the river from the Merchandise Mart, the sleekest, most beautiful fast-food joint in town, where a round, black-granite bar beneathy a starry dome leads down--via a series of descending terraces lined with curving, stainless steel railings--to a dining area with mahogany walls, specimen marble floors, two-story windows, and, high above, a Stuart Davis-style mural. It's like the cafeteria on the Queen Mary.

I feel your pain! My netbook died this weekend and I'm at a loss. I was like a junkie searching for a computer!
