Two of my favorite 1stdibs sellers are Isibelle Comer and Audrey Adams. Not only are they super nice, but also have great style and taste. I am, without question, a chandelier and sconce girl and their lighting options are fantastic. Just look at these lovely finds, especially the Bakelite phone—LOVE it!

Isn't great when you find lovely antiques sold by people who are equally lovely. This is certainly the case with Adams and Comer Ltd, a fantastic online shop owned by Isibelle Comer and Audrey Adams. Not only do they carry beautiful lamps, chandeliers and tables, but their prices are very reasonable. Their first famous client was none other than the distinguished Mr. Albert Hadley. From there, their clientele list has grown to include Martha Stewart, Jeffrey Bilhuber, Eric Cohler, Robert Stern, Marietta Gomez and President and Senator Clinton. Very impressive.

A pair of wonderful handmade seashell lamps. Loaded with shells and personality. These would look so great in a beach house or a cottage by the shore. Price $1,250

With summer approaching I have been thinking and dreaming about garden urns and decorative lawn decor - not pink flamingos - but beautiful aged pieces that reflect French summer homes. Appley Hoare Antiques, a well established shop on Pimlico Road in London, is the place to shop for just such items. Daydreaming is always an option as well. Disclaimer - I have no personal hatred of pink flamingos.

Hat designer Genevieve Weaver arrived in London in 1953 and started a small shop in 1963 on King’s Road in London to sell furniture and accessories she found on her travels.

In 1963 Genevieve’s shop was at the “wrong” end of the King’s Road and the rent was £7 per week. Today it is a much different story and the shop is very much on the “right” end of the street. King’s Road boasts many great art galleries, restaurants and interiors shops.

Now run by her two sons Kevin and Marc Weaver, both travel around the world several times a year to source unique furniture, accessories and textiles for the home. Their journeys take them to North Africa, the Indian sub continent, Continental Europe, Southeast Asia, the Americas and Australasia. Guinevere has an international, loyal following of private collectors and interior designers.

The Winter Antiques Show

The Winter Antiques Show is America's most prestigious venue for fine and decorative arts, benefiting East Side House Settlement. East Side House is a community resource in the South Bronx with a focus on children and critical developmental periods, namely early childhood and adolescence. East Side House works to enhance the public school system and place college within reach of motivated students. All revenues from the Show's general admissions and the net proceeds from the preview parties go to East Side House and contribute substantially to its private philanthropic budget.

The 2008 Antiques Show will be held from January 18th to 27th in New York City, with the celebrated Opening Night Party on Thursday, January 17th. Young Collectors' Night will be held on Thursday, January 24, 2008.

The 2008 show will comprise 75 exhibitors, including 28 specialists in American antiques and works of art showing the finest in Shaker, Folk Art, Native American, Colonial, Federal, Arts & Crafts, and Aesthetic Movement pieces. A dozen exhibitors feature both American and European antiques including silver, paintings, prints, and rare books and autographs.

Mr. and Mrs. Richard L. Chilton, Jr. serve as Honorary Chairmen for 2008. Alan Rappaport, Bank of America, and Pamela Fiori, editor in chief of Town & Country serve as Co-Chairmen of the Opening Night Party.
